Heebies is probably the most exciting thing about the quaint but rather boring Yeadon high street - a cafe with a funky name and a good atmosphere that serves breakfast, lunch and snacks all day, every day.

It does the usual breakfasty-brunchy-lunchy stuff - no frills sandwiches and cakes to accompany the teas and coffees that you find yourself ordering over and over again because of the atmosphere.

It's noisy, but not in a bad way, if that makes any sense - the staff encourage banter between the tables, and even people who go in their to read the free papers end up chating away with the staff. There are seats outside for those who fancy watching very little happen on the high street, but the best chat is definitely inside. Don't be put off by the name - Heebie Jeebies couldn't get any friendlier.

I had cause to visit Yeadon today as my daughter is doing temporary work in the area. Heebie Jeebies appeared to be the only cafe in the high street so there was no other choice for lunch, although it looked quite busy. We managed to squeeze in and got the only remaining table. As I had not been before I approached the counter as I did not know whether it was table service or not. I was rudely told to 'sit down, I'll come to your table, we're busy' We had to wait quite a while for the food which we did not mind as it was busy. Whilst we were waiting someone queried their bill and was refunded some money because they had been overcharged and then a second person attempted to query a bill and was told to 'wait because I am serving a customer'. The lady did wait, and eventually got some money back but I was appalled that in neither instance was an apology given.
Our food was very nice and well waiting for but the appalling attitude of the staff will ensure that I will not visit again.

This cafe is the best place on Yeadon high street; it is open through out the day serving from breakfast on. As well as meals there are coffees and snacks on offer.

There is a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. It usually ends up that everyone in there is involved in the chat going on. The shop is a little on the small side, but you can tell they have done the best with what they have got and have included an outside seating area.

the seats outside are the ideal place to sit and watch the passing Yeadon folk.

There are usually newspapers to read too.
